Since re-opening in 2017, Kilkea Castle has become one of the foremost wedding venues on the island of Ireland culminating in the award for Castle Venue of The Year at The Weddings Online Awards, 2023. With our stunning 12th Century Irish Castle acting as the centre point for our offering, we continue to provide a spectacular backdrop for both Irish & International wedding couples. The Kilkea Castle wedding offering is a stunning combination of elegance and modern-day luxury.

In advance of the departure of our current wedding manager who is travelling internationally, we are now recruiting for a Wedding Manager to join our outstanding wedding sales team. This is a permanent, full-time role. Experience is critical as the successful candidate will be expected to drive what is commonly regarded as one of the very best wedding products in the country.

Reporting to The Director of Sales, this role will fit an experienced Weddings Manager who would relish a new challenge or an experienced Assistant Weddings Manager looking to take the next step in their career.

Responsibilities

  • To lead the Kilkea Castle Wedding Sales Team
  • To be responsible for all revenues including all pre & post wedding celebrations including the issuing of and implementation for a defined deposit schedule
  • To ensure a timely and accurate response to all customer enquiries, providing information, quotations, and contracts.
  • To undertake client site visits including evenings and weekends as necessary
  • To negotiate packages where applicable and confirm wedding sales
  • To ensure that customer feedback is fed to senior management.
  • To monitor and understand all trends within the industry thus ensuring Kilkea Castle stays market leader.
  • To attend any wedding fairs, domestic or international, when applicable and when deemed necessary by the business (We do not currently attend any wedding fairs)
  • To ensure all internal reporting is kept up to date.

Requirements

  • Previous experience is critical with 2 to 4 years a minimum requirement working in wedding sales
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly & outgoing personality.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to thrive under pressure.
  • To fit seamlessly into a very busy and successful sales office and be a team player
  • Experience with Hot Soft as a PMS would be an advantage
  • To be able to collaborate with other departmental team members thus ensuring we deliver seamlessly for our wedding couples
  • To undertake any reasonable request made by Senior Management.
