We are currently recruiting a Clubhouse Food & Beverage Manager to join our growing Food & Beverage team here at Kilkea Castle.

Reporting to the Food and Beverage Operations Manager, the successful candidate will assume responsibility for the day to day operations in our busy clubhouse.  Working closely with colleagues to ensure the highest standards of service and efficient and effective operation of the clubhouse to include The Bistro and Hermoines Restaurant.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure the smooth running of the daily operation such as mise-en-place, sequence of service and breakdown/set up procedures throughout the Clubhouse, via the supervision and delegation of duties.
  • To implement and maintain the highest standard operating procedures for areas under your remit.
  • To supervise and manage the daily operation of all service areas ensuring they are adequately staffed and supervised.
  • Adapt an entrepreneurial approach by continuously seeking out areas for improvement and addressing those through innovative solutions, by initiating and leading change, and by actively looking for opportunities to generate revenue within your deparment.
  • Assist the Food & Beverage Operations Manager to prepare strategies, establish effective goals, measurements and action plans for the department relating to Employee Engagement and Recognition, Guest Satisfaction, Leading Quality Assurance and financial results.
  • Provide a world class hospitality experience to all of our customers.
  • Follow up on all comments and queries from guests and members taking the appropriate action to ensure satisfactory outcomes always.
  • Communicate effectively with our guests and members in order to ensure satisfaction and actively sell the resorts services and facilities.
  • Embrace the Kilkea Castle values and bring them to life on a daily basis, inspiring your team and guests to want more.
  • To work with the Food & Beverage Operations Manager to manage and lead the team, including but not limited to rosters, management of time and attendance system and payroll approval, development, coaching and recruitment.
  • Consistently monitor and ensure standards are achieved and adhered to regarding service, personal presentation and staff welfare and behaviour.
  • Effectively communicate with senior management regarding the performance of your department.
  • Ensure open and consistent communication to the team to ensure all guest requirements are met and employees understand your requirements of them.

The manager we would like:

  • A hospitality professional with previous experience in a similar role is essential
  • A standards driven, creative manager with good attention to detail
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills and the ability to lead, motivate and manage your team to achieve great things
  • Commercial acumen with appropriate financial awareness
